To Reach

I’ve been inspired by the trees.

The spring equinox arrives next week and I’ve noticed the bursts of colour exploding arround outside. It’s not the flirtatious daffodils that catch my attention though, but the winding trees, with leaf buds on the cusp of opening.

Now feels like the right time to start making plans for the year. The crisp spring air brings with it a sense of clarity. Air is the elemental force of Spring, and air is the element of thought and knowing. It’s the breath that breathes new life into things.

The trees spiral and reach, I wonder if they have a plan as to where they’re going or if they just keep allowing themselves to be moved?

The trees have been inspiring my somatic practices recently, learning how to be strong yet mastering the sway.

I have lots of plans for the equinox. We’ll paint eggs as a family, cook and spend time outside. Maybe I go and visit my tree friends and give them a small offering.

Have you ever made friends with a tree…? If not I suggest you open your ears and eyes and let yourself be guided during this time of balance and magic.
